Fritz became a professional in September 2015 after winning the Junior US Open. By being the 9th player at age 17 to win three Challenger Tour championships and doing it in back-to-back weeks, he immediately advanced from the 600s into the top 250 of the ATP rankings.
He defeated Alex Molan at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships to advance to the fourth round for the first time in his career.
