Kalas joined the Rays’ announcing staff for their first season in 1998 and stayed with the team until 2016.

Kalas worked as a pregame and postgame presenter and in-game reporter for Fox Sports Florida and Sun Sports, and he also filled in as a color commentator when needed.



Kalas also handled play-by-play duties for the Rays’ television and radio broadcasts.
