Brady, Thomas Edward Patrick Jr. is a retired American football quarterback who spent 22 seasons in the National Football League. He spent the first two decades of his career with the New England Patriots, where he was instrumental in the franchise’s success from 2001 to 2019.

Born on August 3, 1977 (age 44 years), in San Mateo, California, in the United States of America Brady began school at the Junipero Serra High School after which he went to the University of Michigan.

Edward is the only child of Galynn Patricia and Thomas Brady Sr. He was raised as a Catholic and has three older sisters: Nancy, Julie, and Maureen.

His father is Irish, and his mother is German, Norwegian, Polish, and Swedish. At Candlestick Park in San Francisco in the 1980s, Brady was a fan of 49ers quarterback Joe Montana, who he referred to as an influence.

Dwight Clark threw the Catch to Montana in the 1981 NFC Championship game against the Dallas Cowboys when Brady was just four years old.
