Tyler Rogers is an American professional baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB). Rogers played college baseball for Garden City Community College and Austin Peay State University.

Littleton, Colorado’s Chatfield Senior High School was the final stop for Rogers’ education. Rogers attended Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kansas, after he was not selected out of high school.

In his sophomore year, he went 6–3 with a 2.39 ERA in 34 games, with 50 strikeouts in 49 innings, and he threw a perfect game. In the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference, he was a second-team All-Jayhawk selection.

Rogers played college baseball for the Governors at Austin Peay State University after transferring there after two seasons.

A junior transfer to the University of Cincinnati in 2012 had an outstanding sophomore campaign, going 4-4 while posting an Ohio Valley Conference-best 2.25 ERA and striking out 52 batters in 50.2 innings of work. He also made 38 appearances and saved 10 games.

The San Francisco Giants selected Rogers, the 312th overall pick in the 2013 MLB draft, in the 10th round. He agreed to sign for a $7,500 signing bonus.

Tyler Rogers was born alongside one sibling. Tyler has a twin brother named Taylor Rogers. Taylor is a professional baseball pitcher for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his major league debut in 2016 for the Minnesota Twins and was named an All-Star in 2021.
