Ann Cuerton Davies (November 25, 1934 – April 26, 2022) was a British actress. Until his death in February 2013, Davies was the wife of actor Richard Briers and the mother of actresses Lucy Briers and Katie Briers.

She also appeared in the films Peter’s Friends (1992) and In the Bleak Midwinter (1993) with Briers (1995). One of her early television performances was as Jenny in the BBC series Doctor Who’s tale of The Dalek Invasion of Earth.

Davies made an appearance as Annette Ludlow in an episode of Doctors in 2003. Davies co-starred in the radio adaption of the TV show Brothers in Law with her husband.

Until his death in February 2013, she was the wife of actor Richard Briers. The pair had been married for nearly 50 years, having married in 1956.

They co-starred in the films Peter’s Friends (1992) and In the Bleak Midwinter (1995). Ann and Richard also co-starred in the radio adaptation of the television series Brothers in Law.

In response to the news of her passing, tributes have flooded in for the actress. ‘SAD, SAD NEWS,.. the darling ANN DAVIES,.. wife of the late brilliant and dearly beloved RICHARD BRIERS died away yesterday,..’ one fan tweeted. ‘Rest in peace, wonderful lady.’
