Scott Van Pelt, the popular ESPN presenter, announced the death of his dog, Otis, on Wednesday, 27th April 2022. “I’m heartbroken to report that we had to say goodbye to Otis The Dog,” he said on Twitter. “Truly the most meaningful connection and bond I’ve ever known.” He was an absolute monarch.

Scott Van Pelt was born on July 9, 1966, he is a sportscaster and talk show presenter from the United States. He co-anchored ESPN’s SportsCenter at 11 p.m., co-hosted SVP & Russillo on ESPN Radio with Ryen Russillo, and presents numerous golf tournaments for the network. Van Pelt departed his radio show in June 2015 to become a solo anchor for a midnight edition of SportsCenter.

Van Pelt began his sportscasting career in 1990 at WTTG-TV, a FOX affiliate in Washington, D.C., and then went on to the Golf Channel, where he served as a studio presenter for some of the network’s flagship shows from 1995 to 2000.

He left the channel in 2001 to join ESPN, where he is a SportsCenter host and one of the network’s top golf reporters, covering big tournaments including the Masters.
