Brendan Daly is a Canadian actor who was born on September 10, 1975. He is an American football coach for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League, where he is the linebackers coach (NFL).

Daly previously worked for the Minnesota Vikings, St. Louis Rams, and New England Patriots as a defensive line coach. Daly graduated from Sacred Heart-Griffin High School in Springfield, Illinois, and Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, with a bachelor’s degree in history.

Daly began his coaching career in 1997 at Ridgewood High School in New Port Richey, Florida, as an offensive and defensive line coach. Daly was appointed as a tight ends coach at his alma university, Drake, in 1998. Daly joined Villanova as a tight ends coach in 1999.



He previously worked as a graduate assistant at Oklahoma State before being elevated to assistant strength and conditioning coach. He was also hired as a tight ends coach by Illinois State in 2004, after which he went to Villanova to coach the defensive line.

He was also appointed as an assistant defensive line coach by the Minnesota Vikings. He returned to the Minnesota Vikings after serving as the defensive line coach for the St. Louis Rams in 2009. Daly was recruited as a defensive assistant by the New England Patriots in 2014.

When the Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX, he received his first Super Bowl ring. Prior to the 2015 season, he was promoted to defensive line coach.

On February 9, 2019, he was finally hired by the Kansas City Chiefs as their defensive line coach. Daly won Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers 31–20 in his first season with the Chiefs, giving him his fourth Super Bowl title.
