Marcus Kemp is a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League. He attended the University of Hawai’i at Mnoa, where he competed in collegiate football. In 2017, he joined the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent after being released by his previous team. In 2020, he temporarily played for the Miami Dolphins before returning to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kemp attended and competed in collegiate football at the University of Hawaii. He was voted to the team’s leadership council and was presented with the Alec Waterhouse Most Valuable Player Award at the annual Na Koa football banquet in Hawaii, where he was also recognized for his outstanding performance.

Kemp signed a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad on January 12, 2021, according to the team’s website. Following the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills and the Super Bowl LV against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he was promoted to the active roster on January 23 and February 6, respectively.

After both games, he was returned to the practice squad, where he has remained since. His contract with the team’s practice squad terminated at the end of the season on February 16, 2021, and he was released.

Kemp re-signed with the Chiefs on March 9, 2021, according to the team. On August 31, 2021, he was granted his freedom.  The following day, he was offered a new contract. On November 18, 2021, he was designated for service on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
