Sam Adolphus Madison, Jr., an American football coach, and former cornerback was born on April 23, 1974. For the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League, he is the cornerback’s coach and passes game expert. He previously worked for the Kansas City Chiefs as their secondary/cornerbacks coach.

He was picked by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft after playing collegiate football at the University of Louisville. Madison was also a member of the New York Giants and was a four-time Pro Bowler. As a player for the Giants, he won Super Bowl XLII, and as an assistant coach for the Chiefs, he won Super Bowl LIV.

Madison played wide receiver and defensive back for Florida A&M University Developmental Research School. He also lettered in basketball, baseball, and track & field in addition to football.

Madison attended the University of Louisville and played football there. Madison started for the Cardinals for three years and set school records for interceptions (16) and passes defended (44).

After compiling 65 tackles, two sacks, 13 passes defended, and seven interceptions as a junior, he was named to the third team All-America. After concluding the season with 52 tackles, two sacks, six interceptions, and 16 pass defended, he has voted second-team All-America and first-team All-Conference USA.
