Alejandro Kirk is a Major League Baseball (MLB) catcher for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Kirk has been a fan of Albert Pujols and the St. Louis Cardinals since he was three years old.
His dad was the coach of his Little League team. Juan Manuel Jr. and  Andres are his biological siblings.

Dean Decillis, a scout for the Toronto Blue Jays, noticed Kirk at a showcase put on by the Toros de Tijuana of the Mexican League.

On September 24, 2016, he was signed by the team and got a $7,500 signing bonus, with the Toros receiving $22,500 in exchange for his release.

In 2017, he made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast League’s Rookie-level Blue Jays, appearing in one game.

He spent the whole 2018 season with the Rookie Advanced Bluefield Blue Jays, batting .354 with 10 home runs and 57 runs batted in (RBI) across 58 games.

Kirk also walked more batters than he struck out, with 33 and 21 respectively at the end of the season.

To begin the 2019 season, he was promoted to the Class-A Lansing Lugnuts, then to the Advanced-A Dunedin Blue Jays, where he concluded the year.

Kirk batted .290 in 92 games, with seven home runs, 44 RBI, and 56 walks against 39 strikeouts. Kirk was invited to spring training by the Blue Jays on February 7, 2020.
