A professional baseball outfielder with the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball, Oscar Luis González (born January 10, 1998) is a Dominican. In the year 2022, he debuted in the MLB.

On July 2, 2014, González signed a contract worth $300,000 as a free agent from abroad with the Cleveland Indians. He participated in 2015 with the DSL Indians, batting.203/.266/.324/.590 with 4 home runs and 38 runs batted in.

González played for both the Mahoning Valley Scrappers and the AZL Indians in 2016, combining to hit.297/.340/.554/.894 with eight home runs and 26 runs batted in.



2016 Arizona League MVP was given to him. While playing for Mahoning Valley in 2017, he hit.283,.301,.388 and.689 with 3 home runs and 34 runs batted in.

González played for the Lake County Captains during the 2018 season, slashing 13 home runs and 52 runs batted in while batting.292/.310/.435/.745 overall.

His total batting average in 2019 while playing for the Akron RubberDucks and Lynchburg Hillcats was.293/.315/.418/.733, with nine home runs and 70 runs batted in.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic-related cancellation of the minor league season in 2020, he did not participate in a single minor league game.

On November 7, 2021, González declared his intention to enter free agency. The next day, he re-signed with the Indians on a minor league deal. On May 26, 2022, the Guardians decided to give González a contract.

That same day, at Comerica Park against the Detroit Tigers, he made his major league debut, starting in right field. His first hit came in the top of the second inning on a line-drive single to center field off of starting pitcher Tarik Skubal.

His first major-league double came in the ninth inning. Gonzalez recorded his first big league four-hit game on June 10, 2022, against the Oakland Athletics.
