Who Is Joe Burrow

Burrow, who plays quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League, is an American football quarterback. Burrow played collegiate football at LSU, where he earned the Heisman Trophy and the national championship as a senior after a time with Ohio State.

As his father was an assistant coach for Nebraska, he attended the Rose Bowl when he was five years old. He started playing youth football leagues not long after that. Burrow started as a quarterback because his first youth team didn’t have anyone else who could play the position.

In 2003, his father was appointed as the defensive coordinator for the North Dakota State Bison, and the Burrow family moved to Fargo, North Dakota.

The older Burrow, who spent more than a decade as the defensive coordinator for the Ohio Bobcats, retired after the 2018 season to be able to watch all of Joe’s games during his last college season. Burrow was born in Ames, Iowa, to a father who was a member of the Iowa State Cyclones’ coaching staff.
