After a meeting between top UEFA officials, it has finally been decided that the UEFA Champions League Final 2022 will be held in Paris at Stade De France.
The Uefa Champions League Final was scheduled to take place in Krestovsky Stadium(Gazprom Arena ) in Saint Petersburg, Russia on 28 May 2022.
This year’s UEFA Champions League Final will be the 67th season of UEFA’s elite club football event, which has been renamed from the European Champion Clubs’ Cup to the UEFA Champions League in its 30th season since it was changed from the European Champion Clubs’ Cup.
On May 28, 2022, the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg, Russia, will play host to the match.
The Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, was originally set to host the final.
It’s been decided that the 2022 championship game would be held in Saint Petersburg instead due to the cancellation and relocation of 2021 final.
It was confirmed by UEFA in February 2022 that Saint Petersburg may no longer host the final owing to continued tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, UEFA convened an emergency meeting of its Executive Committee on February 25, 2022.
Officials met to discuss the problem, and SSN reports that the showpiece match on May 28 will no longer be held at St Petersburg’s 68,000-seat Gazprom Arena, rather in Paris at the Stade De France.
The champions of the 2021–22 UEFA Europa League will face the winners of the 2022 UEFA Super Cup.
