Which College And High School Did Chris Shula Attend?

Chris Shula was a student at  St. Thomas Aquinas, a private Roman Catholic, and went on to Miami University for his undergraduate studies in sports studies after finishing his high school education.

It was the Miami University where he met  Sean McVay. Shula and McVay were college classmates, and now they are coworkers on the same project team.

A four-year letter winner at outside linebacker under Chris Shula’s tutelage. During his senior year, he had 68.5 tackles and five interceptions. On defense, Chris had 58.5 tackles as a sophomore and a combined 34-6 record as a junior.

He was a three-year letter winner on the wrestling team, where he won the county championship at 189 pounds as a senior.

A starter against Cincinnati and Vanderbilt in 2007, Chris appeared in all but one of Miami’s 13 games that year. He ranked seventh on the squad in tackles with 54. Aside from his two quarterback sacks.

Chris also racked up two throw break-ups and one forced fumble. Individually, Chris had the most impressive performances at Vanderbilt and Minnesota (11 tackles, two TFLs, one forced fumble, and one PBU).

Chris Shula is the son of Dave Shula, the former head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, and the grandson of Hall of Fame coach Don Shula. Mike Shula, his uncle, was a former University of Alabama head coach.
