Connor Embree was born in the United States, in the town of Superior. Natalyn and Jon Embree are his parents. Connor Embree has a sister and a brother.



His father was the head coach at Colorado from 2011 to 2012, and he has also worked as an assistant coach for the Colorado Buffaloes and UCLA Bruins in college football, as well as the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins in the NFL.

Connor Embree was a student at Blue Valley West HS and continue to study at the University of Kansas.



In 2020, Embree worked mostly with the defensive backs, which included AP All-Pro S Tyrann Mathieu, who led all NFL safeties with six interceptions, and rookie CB L’Jarius Sneed, who was rated Pro Football Focus’ top rookie CB.

Embree mostly worked with a linebacking squad that accounted for 5.5 sacks and 275 tackles in his debut season with the Chiefs.

Prior to entering the professional ranks, he worked as a graduate assistant on Coach David Beaty’s staff at the University of Kansas, where he worked with the offense and special teams.

He also served as the offensive coordinator at Blue Valley West High School and the wide receivers coach at Fairview High School.
