Dan in his coaching career has coached one college football team and one NFL team. He has coached SUNY Cortland (2012) as a Wide receivers coach, Cincinnati Bengals (2016–2018) as an Offensive assistant

Dan Pitcher Career History As A Coach

Pitcher began his coaching career in 2012, coaching wide receivers at Cortland State, a state university in New York.

He was Cortland State’s starting quarterback from 2009 to 2011, and as a senior, he was a finalist for the coveted Gagliardi Trophy, which is given to the best Division III football player each year.

Pitcher was a member of a football team that finished the regular season with a 41-23 (.641) record, three playoff appearances, two AFC South crowns, and a trip to the AFC Championship Game.

Pitcher was in charge of scouting opponents ahead of time, appraising free agents, keeping track of rosters, and evaluating players from other clubs.

Pitcher was signed as an offensive assistant by the Bengals in 2016, where he worked with wide outs. In 2018, he was elevated to assistant quarterbacks coach and game management specialist by newly appointed head coach Zac Taylor.

Pitcher was named quarterbacks coach for the 2020 season following the departure of Alex Van Pelt.
