Sage Steele is one of ESPN’s most well-known and well-respected commentators, and he presently co-anchors the 12:00 ET SportsCenter with Matt Barrie.

Steele is also the lead host of SportsCenter on the Road and has hosted the Tournament of Roses Parade on ABC.

Steele’s responsibilities for SportsCenter on the Road include on-site, day-long, and pre-event coverage of the year’s most important sporting events, such as the NBA Finals, Super Bowl, World Series, Masters, College Football National Championship, and many others.



In September of 2016, Steele was named host of SportsCenter on the Road.

Steele anchored the 6 p.m. ED version for several years before transferring to the noon SportsCenter in February 2021, and before that, he was an anchor for SportsCenter: AM.

From 2013 to the 2016-17 NBA season, she was the host of NBA Countdown on ESPN and ABC.

Steele joined ESPN in 2007 and was a regular SportsCenter anchor until 2013. From 2010 to 2013, she was the host of the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Aside from her parents, Sage Steele was raised by her two brothers, Courtney and Chad Steele. Chad is also the Vice President of Public Relations for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League.
