Aaron Michael Hicks was born in San Pedro, California on October 2, 1989. He is a Major League Baseball centre fielder for the New York Yankees in the United States (MLB). On April 1, 2013, he made his Major League Baseball debut with the Minnesota Twins.

Hicks grew up in Compton, California, where he was a star baseball player at Woodrow Wilson Classical High School. [1] He also attended the Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy, which aims to promote baseball in urban areas.

Aaron, a switch hitter, was taken in the first round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft by the Minnesota Twins out of Wilson Classical High School in Long Beach, California.
