Initially a quarterback during his first two seasons, Dwelley chose not to play football his junior year in order to concentrate on baseball but was urged to return by Oak Ridge’s football coach for his senior season. Dwelley was voted the team’s offensive MVP after converting to tight end and catching 43 passes for 568 yards and five touchdowns.
