Cristiano Ronaldo was born on February 5, 1985, in Funchal Madeira, Portugal. He started playing in the Sporting Lisbon academy before making his senior debut for the same club due to his debut for the senior team.

After an impressive season, he was signed by Manchester United in 2003. He performed well for Manchester which earned him the World Player of the year award in 2008. After the 2009 champions league final, he was signed by Real Madrid in Spain for a world record fee by then.

In 2011–12 Ronaldo helped Madrid capture a La Liga championship and scored a personal-best 46 goals during the League season. He scored a total of 66 goals in 56 appearances with Madrid and the Portuguese national team in 2013 to earn his second world player of the year award which was renamed as FIFA Balon D’Or.

It is shocking to reveal that Cristiano Ronaldo is not the world richest footballer in the world although his marketability is very astonishing. The position is held by someone who plays in a lower league as compared to Ronaldo and it’s not even Messi.

Cristiano is the third richest footballer with a net worth of $500,000 million. This emanates from sponsorship and image-right sales in addition to the salary he earns. He is the world’s third-richest footballer as it stands now per 2021  ranking which took a lot into consideration.
