Trevor Gott is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball at the University of Kentucky and was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the sixth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft.
He made his MLB debut in 2015. Gott previously pitched in MLB for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Washington Nationals, and San Francisco Giants.
Gott was a member of the University of Kentucky baseball team from 2011 to 2013.
He pitched for the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League after his freshman year, winning the Russell Ford Award as the league’s reliever of the year.
Gott set the Kentucky record for saves in a season with nine as a sophomore in 2012.
Gott had recovered from a brief attack of bursitis before the start of the 2013 season, and he was on the preseason watch list for the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award.
He set the school’s all-time saves record with 20 saves that year, breaking his previous single-season save the record of 12.
