Anna Maria Chlumsky was born on December 3, 1980, and is an actress from the United States. She began her career as a child actress and is most known for her portrayal of Vada Sultenfuss in the 1991 film My Girl, as well as its 1994 sequel.
During the years 1999 to 2005, Chlumsky’s professional life was put on hold to pursue her undergraduate degree.
Chlumsky was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Nancy Chlumsky, a singer, actor, and former flight attendant, and Frank Chlumsky Jr., a chef and saxophonist. She grew up in a devout Catholic family. Chlumsky is of Croatian and Czech ancestry.
Chlumsky announced her engagement to Army Reserve member Shaun So in October 2007. In 2000, the two met as undergraduates at the University of Chicago. They married in Brooklyn, New York, on March 8, 2008, and have two daughters, born in July 2013 and August 2016.
