Ejiro Evero graduated from Rancho Cucamonga’s Alta Loma High School and went on to study at the University of California-Davis.
Ejiro Evero attended Alta Loma High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California, where he was a three-sport standout. Evero played running back and linebacker in football and track during his four-year career, in addition to basketball his freshman year.
Evero lettered as a safety for the University of California-Davis during his four years on the team. He was a two-time captain for the Aggies and was named to the Division II All-American team on two separate occasions (2002-03).
Following his undergraduate career, Evero signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2004.
During his first year in the collegiate levels, Ejiro Evero worked as an assistant coach at the University of California-Davis, where he assisted the Aggies in winning the Great West Conference title in 2005.
The next year, Evero worked as an intern for the football program while also acting as an assistant coach for the Davis High School junior varsity team.
For three seasons, Evero worked as Tampa Bay‘s defensive quality control coach (2007-09). Evero helped the Buccaneers’ defense finish second in the NFL in total defense (278.4 ypg) and first in pass defense in his first season with the team (170.5 ypg).
In 2008, he led the defense to a ninth-place finish in total defense for the second year in a row (306.1 ypg).
