Anderson Cooper Parents: Meet Gloria Vanderbilt and Wyatt Cooper

Anderson Cooper, born Anderson Hays Cooper is an American broadcast journalist who was born June 3, 1967, in Manhattan, New York, United States of America. He is currently the main anchor of the CNN news broadcast show Anderson Cooper 360°. This show was given and named after him when he joined CNN in 2001.
Anderson started his education at the Dalton School, a private co-educational university preparatory day school in the Upper East Side neighbourhood of Manhattan, New York. He graduated from the school a semester early and decided to explore Africa for a couple of months.
Anderson later attended Yale University where he majored in political science. He graduated from Yale with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989.
 In 1995, he was hired by ABC News as a correspondent but because of his passion for journalism, he took up other duties throughout the organisation like being a co-host and reality show host.
Anderson comes from a family of millionaires. His maternal grandparents were millionaire equestrian Reginald Claypoole Vanderbilt of the Vanderbilt family and socialite Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt, and Reginald’s patrilineal great-grandfather was business magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt.

His parents were very influential people when they were alive.
