Stause is recognized for her portrayal of Amanda Dillon in the ABC soap opera All My Children, a role she began on May 4, 2005, when the character returned to Pine Valley after a five-year hiatus.

The part of Amanda was originally performed by Alexis Manta. The soap was cancelled and ended on September 23, 2011, and afterwards Stause guest featured in the second season of the Dana Delany series Body of Proof.

 

She was a member of the Los Angeles improvisational ensemble The Groundlings. NBC’s Days of Our Lives cast welcomed Stause in April 2013.

On August 15, 2013,  Stause quit the series in 2015, which was announced on October 24th, 2014 by a source close to the production.

In February 2019, Stause would return to the post. She appeared in ABC’s primetime serial drama Mistresses in 2015.

Late in May 2016, Stause was cast on The Young and the Restless as Bethany Bryant. This is the final time she will be seen in public.

Stause was born in the Kentucky town of Draffenville.  She earned a bachelor’s degree in drama from Murray State University in 2003.

Her middle name, “Chrishell,” is derived from her birthday. Her mother was in labour at a Shell station, and an employee named “Chris” assisted in the delivery. As a result, “Chrishell” was born.
