Colin Michael Poche was born on January 17, 1994, and is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball. (MLB).

Poche attended Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas. As a senior in 2012, he was 7-3 with a 0.21 ERA. The Baltimore Orioles selected him in the fifth round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft out of high school, but he declined to sign and instead went to the University of Arkansas to play collegiate baseball.

Poche joined the Hillsboro Hops and pitched for them for the entire season, going 1-2 with a 3.19 ERA in 31 innings. He pitched for the Kane County Cougars and the Visalia Rawhide in 2017, combining for a 3-1 record and 1.25 ERA in 50.1 innings of relief work. After the season, he went on to pitch in the Arizona Fall League.

With the Jackson Generals, he began the new year. On May 1, 2018, the Tampa Bay Rays acquired Poche as a player to be named later as part of the Steven Souza trade.

Poche was promoted to the International League’s Triple-A Durham Bulls after ree games with the Montogmery Biscuits. Poche was chosen to the 2018 MLB Pipeline team of the year after pitching 66 innings with a 0.82 ERA at both levels. Poche was also selected Minor League Reliever of the Year by the Rays.

Poche has returned to Durham to start the new year. His contract was chosen on June 8, and he was called up to the big leagues for the first time. That night, he made his major league debut against the Boston Red Sox.
