Meet Blythe Danner

Bruce Weigert Paltrow was an American director and producer of television and feature films. He was the spouse of actress Blythe Danner and the father of actors Gwyneth Paltrow and Jake Paltrow, a screenwriter/director.

Paltrow is the son of Dorothy and Arnold Paltrow and was born in Brooklyn, New York.

Robert was his brother. Spencer J. Giffords, the father of Gabby Giffords, an American politician and member of the United States House of Representatives, was his first cousin.

His ancestors were Eastern European Jews with origins in Minsk.

Paltrowicz was his paternal great-grandfather, who was a Rabbi in Nowogród, Poland. Paltrow Steel Company and property in Palm Beach, Florida were owned by his father and mother.

Paltrow attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, to study painting. He began directing theater shows in New York City in the late 1960s, where he met actress Blythe Danner. From December 14, 1969, until his death, they were married.

The 58-year-old Paltrow passed away on October 3, 2002, while on a trip to Rome, Italy, to commemorate the 30th birthday of his daughter, Gwyneth.

Paltrow died of complications from mouth cancer and pneumonia, which he was diagnosed within 1999.

Meet Bruce Paltrow

Blythe Katherine Danner is an actress from the United States.

She has won numerous awards, including two Primetime Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Izzy Huffstodt on Huff and a Tony Award for Best Actress for her work in Broadway production of Butterflies Are Free.

In the films Meet the Parents (2000), Meet the Fockers (2004), and Little Fockers (2006), Danner portrays Dina Byrnes (2010).

She has worked with Woody Allen on three occasions, appearing in his films Another Woman (1988), Alice (1990), and Husbands and Wives (1992).

1776 (1972), Hearts of the West (1975), The Great Santini (1979), Mr. and Mrs. Bridge (1990), The Prince of Tides (1991), and To Wong Foo (1992) are a few of her other famous cinema credits.

Danner was married to Bruce Paltrow, a producer, and director. Gwyneth Paltrow, an actress, and director Jake Paltrow, her son, were born to her and Paltrow.

Danner appeared alongside her daughter in the 1992 television film Cruel Doubt and again in the 2003 film Sylvia, in which she played Aurelia Plath, the mother of Gwyneth’s Sylvia Plath character.
