Albert Emmanuel Abreu Diaz is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball.

Born on September 26, 1995 (age 26 years), in Guayubín, Dominican Republic, Albert made his professional debut in 2014 with the Dominican Summer League Astros where he had a 3–2 win–loss record with a 2.78 earned run average (ERA) in 14 games.

Albert signed with the Houston Astros as an international free agent in August 2013.

He is said to have pitched 2015 with the Greeneville Astros and then started 2016 with the Quad Cities River Bandits. He was subsequently promoted to the Lancaster JetHawks.

However, the Houston Astros traded Albert Abreu to the New York Yankees on November 17, 2016, alongside Jorge Guzmán for Brian McCann.

 The Yankees added him to their 40-man roster after the 2017 season.

He played in the Cuban National Series for Cienfuegos before his defection in August 2013. After being granted free agency by MLB, Abreu signed with the White Sox in October 2013.

Born on January 29, 1987 (age 35 years), Cruces, Cuba Jose currently plays for the Chicago white sox as a first baseman.
