Coolio, a Grammy Award-winning rapper rose to prominence in the late 1990s and died with a fortune that reflected his success and popularity in 2022.

The 59-year-old musician was found dead at a friend’s house on the morning of September 28, according to TMZ. We still don’t know what killed him; no official explanation has been given.

He was also recognized for his acting abilities on screen and on television, which contributed to the overall success of his career. Undoubtedly, his death has left a massive hole in the entertainment industry.



Coolio’s first album, It Takes A Thief, was released in 1994 under the label Tommy Boy Records, and the album’s lead single, “Fantastic Voyage,” peaked at position No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 200.

Another one of his major works is the theme song “Aw, Here It Goes” for the Nickelodeon show “Kenan & Kel,” which he wrote.

The third album by the rapper, My Soul, was released in 1997, and the song C U When U Get There reached its highest position on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 12. This album marked his final time recording with Tommy Boy.

In later years, he kept making more studio albums, like Coolio.com in 2001, El Cool Magnifico in 2022, The Return of the Gangsta in 2006, Steal Hear in 2008, and From the Bottom 2 the Top in 2009.

After his success in the music industry began to dwindle, Coolio made a splash on Celebrity Big Brother in 2009.
