The movie “Hocus Pocus,” released by Disney in 1993, tells the story of three witch sisters who were put to death in Salem in 1693 and then come back to cause mischief on Halloween 300 years later.

It is more than just a classic; it is a stepping stone in the progression of culture. It was only moderately successful when it was initially released, but it went on to become a phenomenon on home video and cable television.

It is now an annual event for many families, with parents who enjoyed it in the 1990s showing it to their children and grandchildren.

With Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy playing the roles of a witchy version of the Three Stooges, Disney managed to strike the perfect balance between eerie and amusing.

Winifred, portrayed by Midler, was the Moe-like ringleader with a short fuse, Sarah, portrayed by Parker, was a fluttery, Curly-like scatterbrain called, and Mary, portrayed by Najimy, was the Larry of the trio, never quite getting anything work, but confident that she’s nailing it.

Is Thackery Binx in Hocus Pocus 2?

The immortal talking cat Thackery Binx was a fan-favorite character from the cult movie that was released in 1993.

The character, who was portrayed by Jason Marsden and was originally a human child living in the 17th century, was given the appearance of a cat by the Sanderson Sisters.

In the movie, Binx plays the role of a guide for Max, Dani, and Allison, assisting them in escaping the clutches of the witches. In the end, he is successful in setting his spirit free.

However, Jason Marsden, who originally provided the voice of Thackery Binx, will not be participating in the film in any capacity.
