In the 1993 Halloween comedy Hocus Pocus, three witches from the 17th century (the Sanderson Sisters) are brought back to life in Salem, Massachusetts. Hocus Pocus 2 is the follow-up to that film.

Disney is bringing back the Sanderson Sisters for a brand-new, streaming-only sequel 29 years after Hocus Pocus.

In our review of Hocus Pocus 2, we learn about the long-awaited sequel, which sees Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy reprise their respective parts as the three evil witches from the original Disney Halloween cult classic.



On September 30, Hocus Pocus 2 will be accessible worldwide. There won’t be a theatrical release for the sequel; it will only be available to stream on Disney Plus.

Only Disney+ will have access to the Hocus Pocus 2 streaming. The Sanderson sisters are brought back to life in this movie, which means viewers won’t need to go to the theater because it was made specifically for the well-known streaming platform.

The streaming service has tried to make sure folks are aware of the viewing change by way of their social media platforms. Multiple movie posters on Instagram have been shared with the intent to let everyone know they can head to Disney+ to screen Hocus Pocus 2.
