A professional tennis player from Latvia the name of Aona Ostapenko, Jeena Ostapenko was born on June 8, 1997. On March 19, 2018, she attained a career-high WTA singles ranking of No. 5, and on March 2, 2020, she attained a doubles ranking of No. 17.

As the first Latvian to triumph in a Grand Slam singles competition and the first unseeded player to win the French Open since 1933, Ostapenko won the 2017 French Open singles championship.

She has played for Latvia in the Fed Cup in addition to her singles career. In addition to winning the junior singles competition at the 2014 Wimbledon Championships, she has won seven singles and eight doubles championships on the ITF Women’s Circuit.
