Julio Jones, born Quintorris Lopez Jones Jr. is an American professional football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He was born on February 8, 1989, at  Foley in Alabama in the United States.

Jones began his amateur football career at Foley High School in Foley where he played as a wide receiver and defensive end for the Lions high school football team. In his junior year in high school, he caught 75 passes for 1,306 yards and had 16 touchdowns this warned him the nickname”Waffle House” because he was always open.

Jones was regarded as a five-star recruit by Rivals.com and he was also listed as the No. 1 wide receiver in the nation in 2008. In February 2008, he made his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide known on National Signing Day by announcing his decision live on ESPNU.



On January 7, 2011, Jones made it known his decision to be eligible for the NFL Draft. He was later invited to the “All-Star Football Challenge”, a skill contest shown by ESPN on February 4 2011.

After high school, he played college football at the University of Alabama, the ad was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons during the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He is usually regarded as the best receiver of the 2010s and the best Falcons receiver of all time.
