Karen Abgarovich Khachanov is a professional tennis player from Russia who was born on May 21, 1996. Khachanov has won four ATP Tour singles titles, including a Masters 1000 title at the 2018 Paris Masters.

When Khachanov was three years old, his parents enrolled him in the tennis program, and he started playing tennis in kindergarten. His father Abgar, an Armenian from Yerevan, played volleyball before beginning his medical studies, while his mother Natalia, a Russian, also pursued a medical degree.

Despite being born in Russia, Khachanov tweeted: “I always say that I have Armenian roots. My maternal grandfather was also half Armenian.

By making it to the quarterfinals of the 2019 French Open on July 15, he reached his singles career-high ranking of No. 8 in the world. Early in his career, Khachanov received coaching from Vedran Marti in Split, Croatia, and Igor Bitsenko in Moscow.

He enrolled in Galo Blanco’s 4Slam Tennis Academy in 2014. Khachanov severed ways with Blanco in November 2017 and has been working with his former trainer Vedran Marti for some time. José Clavet is his other coach at the moment.

Karen Khachanov Ranking

Karen Khachanov, who is now ranked 31st in the world, is now 18th in the live rankings. Up until this year, he had no luck in this tournament. He has lost in the first round in three of his last five New York appearances.

Karen Khachanov Prediction

Khachanov put up a strong performance against an unreliable Pablo Carreno Busta in the previous round and showed grit by persevering in a match that went to five sets, but Kyrgios appears to be playing at a level above Khachanov’s.

My only concern is the Khachanov’s big and high-bouncing forehand going to Kyrgios’ wristy forehand, the latter of which is not built so well for high-bouncing shots.
