Karen Khachanov is a Russian professional tennis player. Khachanov has won four ATP Tour singles titles, including a Masters 1000 title at the 2018 Paris Masters. He achieved his career-high singles ranking of world No. 8 on 15 July 2019, by reaching the quarterfinals of the 2019 French Open.

When Khachanov was just three years old, his parents enrolled him in the tennis class at the local kindergarten. Since then, he has been an avid tennis player.

His mother Natalia, who is Russian, also went to medical school, while his father Abgar, who is Armenian and hails from Yerevan, was a volleyball player before pursuing a career in medicine. The maternal grandfather of Khachanov was likewise of half Armenian descent.



His sister’s name is Margarita, and his brother’s name is Georgiy.

While he was growing up, Marat Safin and Juan Martin del Potro were his primary sources of inspiration, and his favorite sports teams are Real Madrid and the Miami Heat. At the age of 12, he made the decision to play soccer professionally.
