Leah Rogan happens to be a teenage girl from Dalkeith Midlothian who passed away recently on April 30, 2022. Leah is a 17-year-old zealous footballer as well as a football coach at the Dalkeith Thistle Community Football Club, where she coached under 10s.

She was usually referred to as The Lioness by those who are close to her. She earned that name because she was regarded as a strong girl coupled with a light-up smile on her face that lit up everywhere she walked into.

News of her death struck her family and friends with some of them taking to social media to express their grief and pay tribute as well to the young who always gave them a reason to always smile. A close friend of hers called Sophia shared her grief with her and Leah on the just-passed Sunday with the words.



“Never thought I’d be here writing this post. Yesterday our warrior Leah grew her wings, the most beautiful girl with the kindest heart.”

Tributes also came from the Dalkeith Thistle Community Football Club which said, “It’s with a heavy heart that we share this news”
