Matthew Broderick is one of the most well-known actors in the nation. He was born on March 21, 1962, in the American metropolis of Manhattan. His secondary school was the elite Walden School, and his primary school was City and Country School. He studied acting at the HB Studio.

He played the father’s opposite in a workshop version of Horton Foote’s play On Valentine’s Day at the HB Studio, which served as his first important acting role. In an off-Broadway production of Larry Shue’s acclaimed drama The Foreigner that year, Broderick played the witty Charlie Baker. He performed as a professor in The Philanthropist on Broadway from April 10 to June 28, 2009.

In celebration of his services to the film industry, he received a motion picture star in 2006 at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard. 2017 saw him honored with induction into the American Theater Hall of Fame. Broderick was cast in the titular role of Michael Burr for the Netflix comedy-drama series Daybreak, it was confirmed in 2018.

He has won two Tony Awards: one in 1983 for Brighton Beach Memoirs for Best Featured Actor in a Play and another in 1995 for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying for Best Actor in a Musical.
