10. Paul Warfield

Paul Warfield is well known for his time in Cleveland, after which he joined the Dolphins in 1970 where he played for five seasons which saw him rack up 3,355 yards and 33 touchdowns on 156 receptions.

Paul was said to have worn the 42 jersey number and played 60 career games with 156 receptions and 3,355 receiving yard as well as 33 receiving touchdowns

9. Cameron Wake (2009–2018)

Cameron Wake is considered one of the best players of the dolphins due to his ability to recorded five and a half sacks and six tackles for loss.

He was considered as a monster on the field as he recorded double-digit sacks in five seasons, with his 2015 season being cut to only seven games due to injury.

Cameron Wake left the Dolphins in 2018 after wearing the number 91 jersey for the team and played146 career games with 360 total tackles, 97 tackles for loss, 98 sacks and 22 forced fumbles

8. Zach Thomas (1996–2007)

Zach Thomas was drafted in the fifth round of the 1996 NFL Draft. He was the 19th linebacker selected overall and the second by the Dolphins.

Zack played 168 career games all as a starter with 1,640 total tackles, 70 tackles for loss, 19.5 sacks, 17 interceptions, 16 forced fumbles and 4 defensive touchdowns

7. Nick Buoniconti (1969–1976)

Coming out of Notre Dame, Nick Buoniconti was considered an undersized athlete. He began his career with the Patriots, but after seven very successful seasons, he was traded to the Dolphins in 1969.

Buoniconti was diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE)after playing for some time and promised to donate his brain to the study of the condition when he died.

Nick Buoniconti played 92 career games for the dolphins and had 8 interceptions but his tackles weren’t a recorded statistic until 1994 and didn’t become an official statistic until 2001.

6. Dwight Stephenson (1980–1987)

Dwight Stephenson gained the chance to play as a starting center after Mark Dennard went down with an injury that led to him becoming the main starter going into the 1982 season. Dwight after gaining the spot played his heart out and become one of the most sorts after centers in the NFL and earned a role as the offence’s team captain.

He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1998 after playing for the team in the number 57 jersey and winning many titles like;

5. Larry Little (1969–1980)

Larry little before joining the Dolphins played for the Chargers as an undrafted free agent which had him starting in only three games till he was brought to the Dolphins where he shined bright.

Little was praised as one of the league’s best linemen. He earned five Pro Bowl selections and five straight All-Pro selections which led to him being inducted into the hall of fame in 1970s All-Decade Team.

4. Bob Griese (1967–1980)

Bob Griese is one of the most decorated players in Dolphin history. Along with his two Super Bowl victories, he was also an eight-time Pro Bowler, two-time All-Pro and 1977 Bert Bell Award recipient. He’s also a Hall of Fame inductee, and his number has been retired by the team.

Bob played in 161 career games for the dolphins with 25,092 career passing yards and 192 passing touchdowns.

3. Larry Csonka (1968–1974, 1979)

Larry Csonka was selected by the Dolphins eighth overall in the 1968 NFL Draft after playing for the team in 1968 to 1974 when he left the NFL to play in the League in 1975 but returned back in the year 1979.

Csonka was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1987 after having played106 career games with 1,506 rushing attempts and 6,737 rushing yards as well as 53 rushing touchdowns

2. Jason Taylor (1997–2007, 2009, 2011)

Jason Taylor is the best defensive player in Dolphins history. He helped to lead some of the greatest defenses in the team’s history as a defensive end, leading the league in top-five scoring defense five times in his first 10 years with the team.

1. Dan Marino (1983–1999)

Dan “The Man” Marino is undoubtedly the greatest Dolphin of all time who contributed very massively to the Miami Dolphins .

Dan had the greatest passing season of any quarterback in the league’s history, throwing for 5,084 yards and 48 touchdowns making him the greatest after finishing his career with 61,361 yards, 420 touchdowns, 8,358 attempts and 4,967 completions.
