Nancy Dansby Swanson is married to Cooter Swanson. Chase Swanson, an attorney in Marietta, Lindsey Swanson, a doctor of psychology in Atlanta, and Dansby Swanson, a baseball player for the Atlanta Braves, are Nancy Swanson’s three children

Dansby Swanson

American shortstop James Dansby Swanson plays in Major League Baseball for the Atlanta Braves. He was chosen first overall by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2015 MLB Draft.

Swanson was raised a Braves fan after being born in Kennesaw, Georgia, to two former Troy University athletes.



Swanson, who was born in Kennesaw, Georgia, to parents who were both former Troy University athletes, was a lifelong Braves fan.

At Marietta High School, he participated in two sports and excelled in basketball, earning the moniker “Three-point Swanson”.

Swanson was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 38th round of the 2012 MLB Draft out of high school, but he decided not to sign, instead choosing to play college baseball with the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Due to injury, he missed the majority of his freshman season, but as Vanderbilt’s starting second baseman, he enjoyed a spectacular sophomore campaign.

Lindsey Swanson

A licensed psychologist, Lindsey Swanson works at Lindsey Swanson Schriefer, P.C. in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Her resume states that she earned both her P.H.D. in counseling psychology and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Memphis and Georgia College & State University, respectively.

At Utah State University’s CAPS college counseling service, she has worked as a pre-doctoral intern. She provided pupils with both short- and long-term individual and group treatment.

Additionally, Lindsey carried out, scored, and documented examinations for personality and learning difficulties.

Chase Swanson

Attorney Matthew Chase Swanson practices law in Marietta, Georgia. Chase resides in Kennesaw, Georgia with his wife Whitney.

Chase has lived in Cobb County and Marietta his entire life. Chase attended Mercer University where he studied Economics after graduating from Marietta High School.

He served as the Treasurer for the Cobb County Bar Association’s Younger Lawyers Division. Tennis, flag football, basketball, softball, camping, kayaking, and sightseeing are some of Chase’s pastimes.
