Pan Jiluan was a Chinese scientist who served as president of Nanchang University, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Born on December 24, 1927 in Ruichang County (now Ruichang), Jiangxi, Pan was said to have passed away on April 19, 2022. He was a representative of the 11th and 15th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party.
Pan wrote books like Arc welding control and attended Tsinghua University as well as the Harbin Institute of Technology.
Pan met his beautiful spouse in the year 1950 and started courting but eventually tied the knot on 1955.
Jiluan attended the National Southwestern Associated University in the year August 1944 and majored in mechnical engineering. He was also said to have moved to the Tsinghua university after his former school was closed down and studied at the department of Machinery.
He taught in many institutions and was at a point a visistoing scholar at the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute in 1959.
He was appointed as the Nanchang University president in the year 1993 and held the position until 2002 when he layed down the position.
Pan died on 19 April 2022 at the age of 94 after suffering from a short illness in Beijing.
