Philip Baker Hall was an American actor. Although known primarily as a prolific character actor, he starred in leading roles in films, such as Secret Honor, Hard Eight, and Duck.

His other supporting roles in films include ones in Say Anything…, Boogie Nights, The Truman Show, Magnolia, The Contender, Zodiac, and Argo.

He received his education from the University of Toledo. Both as a translator for the United States Army and as a high school teacher in Germany were among his duties while he was stationed there.

In New York City, he worked on productions that were both Off-Broadway and on Broadway. Hall and his first wife, Dianne Lewis, are the parents of two children.

He wed Holly Wolfle, and the union was blessed with the birth of two daughters: Adella and Anna. Hall passed away on June 12, 2022, when he was 90 years old.

Following the success of his first film, “Cowards,” he became a member of the Los Angeles Theatre Center. It was an episode of Good Times that gave him his first part in a television show. Hall appeared as a guest star in episodes of the television shows M*A*S*H and Man from Atlantis.

Since 1977, he has appeared in more than 200 guest roles. In the movie that only focused on one character, he gave the role of Richard Nixon.
