Phillips Chalier Valdéz is a Dominican baseball pitcher who now pitches for the Boston Red Sox in Major League Baseball. He formerly played for the Texas Rangers in Major League Baseball.

On May 29, 2009, Philips Valdéz signed with the Cleveland Indians as an international free agent. In 2009 and 2010, he was a member of the DSL Indians. Cleveland released him on November 10, 2010.

He signed a minor league deal with the Tampa Bay Rays on December 16, 2010, but was released on May 1, 2011, and did not play in a professional game that year.

After being released, Valdéz attended a Japanese baseball academy in the Dominican Republic. He signed a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals on May 30, 2012.

He was a member of the Washington Capitals organization from 2012 until 2018.

He played for the DSL Nationals, Gulf Coast Nationals, Auburn Doubledays, Hagerstown Suns, Potomac Nationals, Harrisburg Senators, and Syracuse Chiefs during his tenure with them.

After the 2018 season, Valdéz elected free agency and signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on December 21, 2018.

For the 2019 season, he’ll be with the Nashville Sounds. He was 1–7 with a 4.92 ERA in 78+23 innings with Nashville in 2019.
