People could be heard screaming all night long from the Uvalde, Texas, Willie de Leon civic center as the horrifying news of the growing death toll at Robb Elementary school was announced.
19 children and two adults were declared dead at midnight on Tuesday (Wednesday AEST), along with the 18-year-old shooter Salvador Ramos, whose own grandmother was critically injured after he also fired at her.
It wasn’t until midnight that the names of those who died in the attack started to surface. More victims’ names will be revealed when the bereaved write their condolences to those they have lost, including two 10-year-olds, an 8-year-old, and a teacher.
