Taylor Fritz Siblings: Meet Chris Paben and Kyle Paben

Taylor Fritz is an American professional tennis player. He has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 13 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), achieved on March 21, 2022, and a doubles ranking of world No. 104, achieved on July 26, 2021.



Kathy May, a former top-10 player, and Guy Henry Fritz, who also played professional tennis and was voted US Olympic Development Coach of the Year 2016, are Fritz’s parents. Fritz is the youngest of their three sons, and his father was also a professional tennis player.

Taylor Fritz is the great-grandson of Morton D. May and the great-great-grandson of David May, the founder of The May Department Stores Company, which later amalgamated with Macy’s. Taylor Fritz is also the great-great-grandson of David May.




Chris and Kyle, who are both older than Fritz, are his maternal half-brothers. Fritz spent his childhood in Rancho Santa Fe, which is located in the San Diego metropolitan area, with his brothers.

He went to Torrey Pines High School, where as a freshman he took first place in the CIF singles competition for the San Diego division of the tournament.

He made the transition to an online high school a few months into his sophomore year so that he could compete full-time in ITF junior competitions.

American professional tennis player Taylor Fritz was born alongside Chris Paben and Kyle Paben.

Kathy May Fritz has previously competed in equestrian events under the names Kathy May Teacher and Kathy May-Paben. This was because she was getting married around this time.

1979 marked the year that she tied the knot with fellow tennis star Brian Teacher, who is also ranked among the top 10 players. In 1981, she tied the knot with a firefighter whose name was Donn Paben. They were blessed with two sons as a couple.



Following the finalization of her divorce from Paben, she wed Guy Henry Fritz, Fritz’s father.
