Tony Lee Dow is a well-known American actor. In addition, he makes sculptures and produces and directs films. He became well known for his role in the primetime television sitcom Leave It to Beaver, which ran from 1957 to 1963. On April 13, 1945, he was born in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.

In October 2021, Dow was diagnosed with pneumonia and confined to the hospital. In May 2022, he was given a cancer diagnosis. His family stated that Dow was receiving hospice care at his Topanga, California, home during his “final hours” when false reports of his death on July 26, 2022, arose.

After being chosen to play Wally Cleaver in Leave It to Beaver, Dow, who had little to no acting experience, launched his career. He performed on Leave It to Beaver for six years, up until the show’s conclusion in 1963. After that, he made a number of cameos on other television shows, including My Three Sons, Dr. Kildare, The Greatest Show on Earth, Never Too Young, and five episodes of Mr. Novak in three distinct characters.
