Tulsi Gabbard happens to be an American politician of Hindu descent. She was born on April 12, 1981. From 2013 to 2021, she has represented Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district in the US House of Representatives. She frequently appeared on Fox News while she was a member of Congress to lambast the Barack Obama administration for “refusing” to identify “radical Islam” or “Islamic extremism” as the “true adversary” of the United States. Since then, she has adopted conservative stances on matters like transgender rights and abortion.
Tulsi Gabbard spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2022 and supported Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Act, which was opposed by teacher unions in the public (CPAC). She announced in October 2022 that she had completely left the Democratic Party, citing the party’s shift in foreign policy and social issue positions as the main drivers of her decision. She did not join the Republican Party and is currently unaffiliated with any other party.
