Naomi Judd was an American singer-songwriter and actress. In 1983, she and her daughter Wynonna formed the duo known as The Judds.

Naomi passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 76, according to her daughters Ashley and Wynonna Judd.

Naomi passed away just one day before her induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Larry Strickland, Judd’s second husband of more than 30 years, was her husband at the time of her death.



Wynonna is not the daughter of Strickland and Ciminella. Ashley’s father is Michael Ciminella, Naomi’s first husband, and Wynonna’s father is Naomi’s ex-boyfriend Charles Jordan.

Diana Ellen Judd married Michael Ciminella when she was 17. Naomi and Ciminella married in 1964 and divorced in 1972. In 1989, she tied the knot with Strickland.

Michael Ciminella, Ashley Judd’s grandfather, died in Kentucky, according to his obituary. Naomi Judd was a Tennessee native. Heavy is attempting to reach the medical examiner for Williamson County.

When asked if the Nashville County Coroner’s Office is investigating Judd’s death, an on-call investigator stated she couldn’t answer. She indicated the office would have to be contacted the next business day because it was closed.

Naomi Judd’s mother, Pauline Judd was a cook who graduated from Ashland High school in 1945. Pauline was married to Charles Glen Judd and they had four children.
