Jesse Powell was an American R&B/soul songwriter-singer. Discovered by Louil Silas Jr., Powell was best known for his hit “You” which peaked at No. 2 R&B and No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Powell released four albums, and was the older brother of fellow contemporary R&B singers Trina & Tamara.

The R&B singer was born on  September 12, 1971, in Gary, Indiana, United States of America and has a very tall height that stands at 1.8m.



He is the son of his mother by the name of   Emerald Williams who gave birth to him along with two other siblings by the names of Tamara Powell and Trina Powell.

Powell is known to have grown up in  Gary, Indiana and raised with his siblings Trina, Tamara and Jacob.

He debuted his first album in 1996 after the release of his first single  “All I Need” which was written by Powell, Sam Salter and Laney Stewart.
