When Rocchio became a free agent internationally in July 2017, the Cleveland Indians decided to sign him. He made his professional debut in 2018 with the Indians of the Dominican Summer League.

Rocchio was promoted to the Arizona League Indians of the Indians organization after hitting.323 in 25 games with the DSL Indians.



He played for the Indians of the Arizona League, where he had an even better season, compiling a batting average of.343 in 35 contests.


Rocchio had a batting average of.335 at both levels while participating in 60 games in his first season as a professional. He played all 82 games for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in the baseball league’s Low-A division during the 2019 campaign.

Throughout his 69 games of participation, he averaged.250 at the plate. The minor league season in 2020 was postponed due to COVID-19, a pandemic. He didn’t take part in any minor league games that year as a result.

Rocchio was added to the 40-man roster of the group later known as the Cleveland Guardians on November 19, 2021.
