Katz was invited to appear on several other TV series after the popularity of his first, including Simon & Simon Boy, The Torkelsons, and Zorro.

Marshall Teller on NBC’s “Eerie, Indiana” was his first starring role. Even though the show only aired for a limited time, it was a huge success for Disney.

His first picture, “Matinee,” was a smashing success, but his second, “Hocus Pocus,” became a cult classic that is still frequently discussed and remembered today.

He has also made appearances on “Freaks and Geeks,” “General Hospital,” and “The John Larroquette Show,” among other works.

In 2002, he announced his retirement from acting and appeared in one last picture. Katz has been employed as a stylist at a Los Angeles salon ever since.
